My new MXL 990 condenser microphone arrived this week. This was the same mic (or at least a very similar model) which I used last year to record elements of Math Grenades. Now I’ve got one of my very own. That being said expect me to be working a bit more adamantly on new recordings, notably vocal elements. I’m hoping to have something (i.e. an E.P. of 4 our 5 tracks) wrapped up before the end of the year or early ’08. Also likely will be the completion of some yet-unfinished tracks from earlier this year, which will be a separate project altogether.

I’ve also come into possession of some brand new production software, thanks to vverrgg. It will take some time to get acquainted with all the new gadgets and widgets and other -gets,  but it’s going to be a very exciting process.

Finally, I’ve been looking into buying a new electric-acoustic guitar before the end of the year. As a bassist, I could use any help in knowing what to look for, so if you’ve got any ideas or suggestions, drop me a line.
